According to this article back in April from the Associated Press, it appears that the incandescent lightbulbs are being discontinued. Factors for this not only include financial benefits, but environmental benefits as well, with leaders stating how helpful it will be towards the environment, and also the individuals who will be purchasing the more efficient options. The article also went onto comparing the longevity of the incandescent bulbs versus the LED bulbs, stating how the LED bulbs had a much longer life.
